What is Discover God's Call? Discover God's Call is a three day retreat program preceded by a 15-day home study. The retreat leadership is provided primarily by lay volunteers. The retreat is generally held from 6:30 P.M. Friday through 4:30 P.M. Sunday. The focus of the study and the weekend is to assist participants in 3 areas: Discovery of the Spiritual Gifts God has blessed you with God's purpose for giving you these Spiritual Gifts God's plan for your life “where you are” A Brief History of Discover God's Call 1983    First retreat heald at Lake Junalaska 1993    Two people from Waxahachie District, at the request of their District Superintendent and Bishop Joe Wilson attended a retreat at Lake Junaluska 1993    First retreat held at Mt Lebanon Camp in Cedar Hill, TX 1994    Central Texas Chapter (CTC) of Discover God’s Call chartered 2003    North Texas Conference (NTC) joined the Central Texas Chapter What Others Are Saying About Discover God's Call The DGC retreat is a refreshing time to get away from your everyday life and get alone with God. We sang praises to God, learned about the gifts that He gave each of us and discussed how we could use those gifts back home. In addition to spending time with God, I was able to meet some other believers that I am still friends with today. I thank my mom for encouraging me and for providing me a way to go. J. J.
